KEEPING MY SANITY

Well I started cooking at the HIlton Garden Inn of Downtown Athens this past thursday and it made me realize just how much I miss working in the kitchen. And not so much just the cooking but the great times and laughter in the kitchen. I really dont know what it is, but if you were to go into any restaurant in america 98% of the time the kitchen is messin around and havin a good time. Now I know this may scare some of you with the fact that the person who is cooking your food is just playing around. That is not entirely true. We still get the orders done, but we just know how to get it done with our sanity intact. Like the other night I went out to the bar and grabbed a bottle of bacardi 151 and taught the other guys how to make an onion volcano like they do at japanese steak houses. (Do Not Try At Home!!)

Then because I could I decided to cover the entire grill in 151 and just light it on fire. It was quite entertaining. Im kinda bummed that I am only gonna work there 2 days a week, but i think that is better for the sprinkler system. So if we have anymore very affective sanity savers I will be sure to shar them with you.
