POLITICS

Why do we do the things we do, or become compelled to support things we know nothing about. Sometimes we like to jump on the bandwagon just because it looks fun, or seems right. I guess what im getting at is the topic of politics. I simply dont understand how people can say that they are americans if they do not support the people that run the country they live in. In my opinion it is not our government that is causing our troops to still be in Iraq, but every citizen that refuses to pay taxes. The simple fact is that with out taxes how can we keep our soldiers safe or bring them home? I don't intend to get into a political rant, but with watching the campaigns and debates it brings up sore thoughts that I have always had. I truly think that if we were proud to be americans that, we would support our president and government no matter if we like them or not. They are the very people that decide how our country operates, and if we continue to not support them they could at any time turn to being extremely bad. We need more americans like the ones that are giving there lives everyday to defend there rights and ours, because this is "The land of the free, because of the brave."
